This week we studied the book "Mouse Paint"   We'll be diving in to the wonderful world of color mixing next time when we us the Primary colors Red, Blue, and Yellow to make Orange, Green, and Violet!

Farewell KO until first grade...

This is our last week for KO's art class.  Last week we missed art due to an assembly, this week  however, I've asked that we could have some extra time to complete our first sculpture project.

Google Sketchup

This week, 3rd and 5th grades have begun using Google Sketchup in the HCS computer lab.  This fun tool is free for download here. http://www.sketchup.com/intl/en/download/gsu.html

We've discussed some simple tools used for making 3-D models,  and our 5th graders have been using it to create a building that uses asymmetry for it main design element.
